Department Setup
The Department Setup dialog allows the creation of departments and the
selection of department icons. The department Setup can be accessed from the AV Tools Setup menu. The purpose of the department list is to be able to assign employees
to departments. All instances of AV Clock or AV Tools that are configured to
use the same database file will reflect changes made here. When reports are
generated, the employee information is setup, or the AV Clock is configured, the
employees displayed can be specified by department. Below is a sample of the
Department Setup dialog.
To change the department name, icon or department description, double click on
the cell to be changed.
To add a department, scroll to the end of the department list and double click
on the department name cell to enter a name. Then double click on the icon
cell to select an icon.
Delete
The delete button can be used to delete a department. First click on the row
of the department to delete, then click delete. The department may not be
deleted if it has employees assigned to it.
Change Icon
The Change Icon button can be used to change the icon for a department. This
can also be done by double clicking on the icon cell. A dialog as shown below
will be displayed. Select one of the icons and press OK.
