Employee Setup Edit

The Employee Setup Edit dialog is used when adding or editing employees. This dialog appears when the Add or Edit button is pressed on the Employee Setup dialog. A sample of this dialog is shown below.

Employee Number

This field shows the employee number of the displayed employee. This field can only be edited when adding an employee. This number must be unique.

First Name

The first name of the employee is displayed and edited here.

Middle Name

The middle name of the employee is displayed and edited here. This field is optional.

Last Name

The last name of the employee is displayed and edited here.

Department

This list box allows the selection of the department. For information on adding departments, see the Department Setup dialog.

Icon

The icon to represent the employee is selected here. This icon will appear on the AV Clock.

Active

This field shows the employee’s active/inactive state. An active employee is one who is currently employed. Normally, if an employee leaves the company, his/her status would be changed to inactive.

Clock In/Out Code

The Clock In/Out Code is the code that the employee can use to clock in and out. This code is provided so that the employees can use an easier to remember code to clock in and out rather than their employee number. This field is optional. The employees could also use their employee number to clock in and out. See the Company Setup dialog for more information on clock in/out options.

Status

The employee’s status is shown here. It will be either in, out, or In Field. In Field indicates that the employee is working outside the company or working “In the field”.

Status Time

The time of the employee’s last status change is shown here.
