Select Database
The Select Database function is most commonly used to select a database after
installing a network installation of the AttendView software. This function
allows the database to be used by AV Clock and AV Tools to be selected. The
select database function will invoke a File Open dialog to allow the selection of
the database file.
From AV Tools, the Select Database function can be selected from the File menu.
From AV Clock, the Select Database function can be selected from the AV Clock
Setup dialog with the Browse button.
The function may be initiated from either AV Clock or AV Tools and the end
result will be the same. Both applications will use the newly selected database.
It will not affect what database is used by other computers on the network.
If you wish to move the database file, the new location of the database file
must be selected on all the computers on the network using the AttendView software.
The Select Database function might also be used to access a backed-up database
file.
