Using a Bar Code or Magnetic Stripe Reader

The AV Clock may be used with Bar Code or Magnetic Stripe readers that interface through the keyboard input. The keyboard input is shared with the keyboard through a Y cable and doesn’t interfere with keyboard operation. To be used with AV Clock, the reader must be setup to include an Enter at the end of the code or employee number. The Enter is interpreted as a Clock In/Out press.
