Using AV Clock

The AV Clock allows employees to clock in/out using their employee number or clock in/out code. It also provides a display of who’s in. Below is an example of the AV Clock display.

Employee Status Table

The employee status table provides a status of employees and indication of hours worked today and this week. In the AV Clock Setup, which employees are displayed may be configured, as well as how the status is displayed. The colors displayed depend on the employee status. The default colors are as follows.

The display is updated every 5 to 60 seconds depending on the AV Clock Setup. The status includes the following columns.

Icon (Optional) The Icon displayed is the icon representing the employee’s department or the employee’s icon. Which icon appears for each employee is configured in the Employee Setup. The icon will normally appear grayed when an employee is out. If imported icons are used, the appearance of the icon when an employee is in or out depends on the icons imported.

Hours (Optional) The hours column shows how many hours the employee has worked today as of the current time.

Week (Optional) The week column shows how many hours the employee has worked this week as of the current time.

Name The name column shows the name of the employee.

Clock In/Out

The Clock In/Out button is used to clock in and out. It may be pressed using the Enter key. If using a bar code reader or magnetic strip reader, this button will get pressed when the card is swiped if the code on the card includes an Enter code. If using the keyboard, type a clock in/out code or employee number, then press Enter.

Leave Message

The Leave Message button may be used by an employee to leave a public message as to his/her whereabouts. When the Leave Message button is pressed, the Leave Message dialog will appear.

Outside Work

The Outside Work button may be used if an employee wants to stay clocked in but indicate that he/she is working outside the facility. When the Outside Work button is pressed, the Outside Work dialog will appear.

Report

The Report button may be used by employees to generate a report on their time data. The report is limited to only one employee and can be a daily report or detailed report. The report generation is identical to the one used when generating reports from AV Tools. It is limited, however, to only one employee.

Status Box

The status box is located at the bottom of the AV Clock display and provides clock in/out status. Whenever an employee clocks in, out or outside, the status box indicates who clocked in/out and at what time. Below is an example of a status box message.

The status box will clear itself after 10 to 1000 seconds (depending on the AV Clock Setup configuration).

The status box will also display messages left by employees. If an employee has an asterisk to the left of his/her name, click on the name to see the message.

Clock

At the lower right of the display is a clock display. This clock shows the current time.
